Dr. Rose Johnson
Born and raised in Kingman, AZ, Dr. Rose has numerous years of experience in the world of dentistry. For her, the best part of her work is being able to use her knowledge and skills to help patients who require dental care for a beautiful and healthy smile. Alongside her husband, Dr. Johnson, she can’t wait to meet and work with our patients to help them achieve their dental goals!
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
It was during her high school years that Dr. Rose’s idea of becoming a dentist began to blossom. At the time, she was living with her grandmother—who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease—and noticed how she was struggling with poor dental health, which also impacted her overall well-being. By helping with her dental care, Dr. Rose was able to see just how grand of change the treatments made for her grandmother’s health. Due to this experience, she deeply wanted to help others in the same way the dentist helped her loved one.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Rose first attended Northern Arizona University before heading to the University of Colorado for her dental doctorate. She also underwent a Comprehensive Dentistry Program through the University of Florida School of Dental Medicine—a two-year Academy of General Dentistry Mastership track program consisting of 600 credits worth of practical insights in more than 17 general topics in comprehensive dentistry. She’s also taken a four-day instructional Applied TMJ and Functional Occlusion Course in Denver, CO, gaining hands-on experience and learning how to develop strategic treatment plans.
Dr. Rose regularly seeks continuing education to refine her expertise in dentistry and remain on top of the latest advances in the field. She’s also an active member of several organizations, including:
- SPEAR Education
- American Dental Association (ADA)
- Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)
- Christian Medical & Dental Association (CMDA)
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Away from the practice, Dr. Rose lives happily with her loving and supportive husband, Dr. Johnson, and their amazing daughter, Shandy. She comes from a large and driven family, as she learned the importance of education and hard work early on through her parents, along with a desire to help others in her community. She loves spending time with her loved ones, trying out new restaurants, spending time outdoors (especially at the beach), playing music, swimming, cooking, and attending church. One fun fact: she used to dream of living somewhere cold like Alaska, but after being in Colorado for dental school, she thought otherwise!
