Your dentist<\/a> will know for sure, but until then, you\u2019ll need to be vigilant. Continue reading to learn several signs that may indicate the presence of stealthy decay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Sensitivity to Hot, Cold, Sweet, or Acidic Foods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most common signs of a cavity is sensitivity, especially when you bite into something hot, cold, acidic, or sweet. If you feel a sudden, sharp pain or lingering sensitivity in a specific area of your mouth it might indicate a cavity between your teeth. This pain is likely due to decay wearing down your enamel, exposing the sensitive layer underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
